Operations and Client Service Associate

JOB SUMMARY
The Operations and Client Service Associate is an important support role at Harbor Advisory Corporation. While working directly with the VP of Operations and the Operations and Compliance Manager, because of the small size of the Harbor Advisory team, you will also be working closely with the partners of the firm in various organizational and client-related capacities. Examples of your responsibilities may range from assisting with internal reporting preparation, responding to administrative client queries, assisting with compliance documentation, and office organization.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Representing Harbor Advisory often as the first contact by answering phones and receiving clients

  • Assisting colleagues in responding promptly to client needs and inquiries, while increasing familiarity and direct client contact over time

  • Building an in-depth knowledge of Harbor Advisory’s custodial vendors and their processes

  • Learning to use the various technology platforms that are integral to Harbor’s wealth management services

  • Understanding and implementing Harbor’s relationship and account onboarding process

  • Assisting in preparation for regular client meetings, periodic client communications and reporting Assisting with special projects

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to identify operational efficiencies in existing work flows

  • Representing Harbor Advisory’s core values when interacting with clients, prospective clients, and other business relationships


QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high level of integrity, ethics, and ability to maintain confidential client and firm information

  • A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to an overall client-first team experience

  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented

  • Responsive and strong communicator - verbally and in writing

  • Comfortable working with numerical data and reporting

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Comfortable with technology and able to adapt to new technology

  • Open to feedback and constructive guidance

  • Eager to learn about the wealth management business

  • Ability to commute to Harbor Advisory's office in Portsmouth, NH daily


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES AND DESIGNATIONS
We seek the following in our Operations and Client Service Associate

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a business support role – financial services experience preferred

JOB SUMMARY
The Wealth Management and Client Relationship Associate position is an integral part of wealth management at Harbor Advisory Corporation. In this role, you will work directly with senior managers and operations colleagues to deliver a seamless, customized experience to firm clients. Examples of your responsibilities include assisting with account openings and portfolio administration, responding to client requests, supporting trading and portfolio management, building and maintaining client financial plans, assisting with operational support, and collaborating with tax and estate planning professionals.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Representing Harbor Advisory’s core values when interacting with clients, prospectiveclients, and other business relationships

  • Assisting colleagues in responding promptly to client needs and inquiries.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve Harbor Advisory’s client service processes

  • Building an in-depth knowledge of Harbor Advisory’s custodial vendors and theirprocesses

  • Learning to use the various technology platforms that are integral to Harbor’s wealthmanagement services

  • Supporting senior managers in creating and ensuring accuracy in presentation materials,preparing for meetings, as well as implementation and maintenance of clients’ investmentand strategic financial plans

  • Assisting with client onboarding with evolving participation in additional client meetingswithin the first year

  • Assisting with special projects

  • Assisting with investment analysis and selection for implementation in firm-wide strategies


QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high level of integrity, ethics, and ability to maintain confidential client and firm information

  • A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to an overall client-first team experience

  • A passion for delivering high-level customer service and the ability to interact effectively with clients

  • Strong organizational skills with extraordinary attention to detail and the ability to support multiple colleagues

  • Responsive and effective communication skills, verbally and in writing

  • Eagerness to learn and develop strong wealth management skills consistent with the value that Harbor Advisory provides to its clients

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Comfortable with technology and able to adapt to new technology

  • Open to feedback and constructive guidance

  • A desire to progress along a career path to a role as a senior wealth manager

  • Ability to commute to Harbor Advisory's office in Portsmouth daily


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES AND DESIGNATIONS
We seek the following in our Operations and Client Service Associate

  • A Bachelor’s Degree

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a business support role – financial servicesexperience preferred

  • Ability to complete any necessary industry licensing

  • Interest in pursuing professional certifications (CFP. CFA, etc.)
